Installation of New Principal : Linda D. Saab

          Due to the implementation of R.A.9155 for the impoved performance . School heads are being tranferred to another school especially those who served 5 years above in their station. From Anito Elementary School as Head Teacher II ,I am transferred to Pandan Elementary School as  principal last January 10,2011. After the installation, I tour around the campus and  thought for a while what is the first thing to be done. Almost all rooms need repair ,the front fence is rugged and untidy and the flowers planted are few. I made to understand and realized that God entrusted all this to challenge me as new principal. I don't like to blame the previous principal because she is already 64 years old, served 15 years in this school. I remenbered my speech taken from the concept in School Based Management .."I commit myself to accept the authority with corresponding  accountability and responsibililty to influence others for the improvement and development  of the school and may God Bless Me"
            On my second day afternoon I conducted a meeting at the same time a workshop. I make use of the knowledge and skills taken from tranings to process them for crafting the vision and mission of Pandan Elementary School. We first tackle the crafting of core values following the format and strategy of DepED School Improvement Plan. I  discuss the SWOT Analysis and their priority needs and its corresponding strategies to solve the problem. I just facilitated the issue to prioritize the repair of front fence. Suggestions and comments were presented and the group decided to have King and Quo the teachieen of Valentine's to acquier money for the project. Each classroom has 2 candidates male and female then every candidate will have a pot money of  five hundred pesos that school will have twelve thousand pesos for the repair. There is a positive response among teachers ,internal and external stakeholders. At this time construction of concrete  fence in front of school has already been started even the money is not yet available.
            I realized that an empowered principal can influence internal and external stakeholders.There is   collaborative effort in the work place. I am happy to see them working happily.
